Learn to locate acupuncture Point “Stomach 36” (ST-36) and perform acupressure on yourself and your kids!
Hi, my name is Andrea Wingrave and I’m a Registered Acupuncturist. I’d like to show you how to locate the acupuncture point Stomach 36. Start by locating the 2 depressions under your knee cap. From the outer depression, place your four fingers below. On the outer side of your shin bone or tibia, the point is below your four fingers, in the fleshy area just beside your bone.
Stomach 36 is good for gastric pain, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, abdominal pain, poor appetite, and calming the mind just to name a few.
I perform acupressure on my children whenever they have digestion issues as I just listed, constipation, diarrhea, any kind of stomach cramping. It is really quite effective, I usually press and rub that point in a circular motion – 30 seconds each side is usually enough.
